Most of my life is consumed by being a materials engineering Ph.D. student. I spend much of the time that is left involved in the Society for Creative Anachronisms (SCA) and am known as Naomi bat Avraham. Soon after I joined the SCA in 2002, I started shooting archery and it wasn't long before I began making my own arrows. I am by no means an expert, but I enjoy making arrows and I like challenges. My constant goals are to improve my target shooting arrows (wooden shaft, real feathers, but modern glues, lacquers, points, and nocks) with every new set, and to continue learning more about period materials and techniques. In addition to arrow making, I am also interested in glass bead making and woodblock carving and printing. At some point this website will be updated to include these interests as well.
